16 foreigners nabbed in Makati for alleged drinking session, shabu use


Sixteen foreign nationals were arrested in a bar in Makati City for allegedly having a drinking session despite prohibition on mass gatherings and for supposed use of illegal drugs.

Makati City police said the foreigners were arrested last June 17 at a bar along Mariano Street in Barangay Poblacion.

Those arrested were identified as Cedric Fowetfeih Nhengafac, 30; Ndipagbor Rayuk, 39; Christian Menkami Youmbi, 35; Ashu Cederick, 34; Nintedem Feudjio Bertrand, 30; Mekoulou Christelle Clemence, 30; Bernadette Bareja, 34; Vitalys Ninjiwa, 43; Jacques Mboum Mbitock, 33; Hyacinthe Gabre, 38; Ngami William, 29; Joseph Emmanuel Faure, 26; Cristina Nkengasong Ngunyi, 25; Ezeugwu Osita Linus, 36;; Harry Teenesee, 45; and Saikou Omar Kujabi, 34.

The operation stemmed from complaints of concerned citizens that social gatherings were being held inside the establishment.

Authorities were able to seize bottles of beers and suspected shabu from the suspects.

Police said the foreigners were nabbed for violations of Executive Order No. 10 series of 2020, Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code (Resistance and Disobedience to a Person with Authority) with Penal Provisions Amended by Republic Act No. 10951, Section 9(e), RA 11332 (Social Gathering), and Section 11 of Article II of RA 9165.

The suspects were brought to Makati City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition of the case.  --Anna Felicia Bajo/KBK, GMA News
