Lagusnilad Underpass gets colorful upgrade with new mural project

A colorful and vibrant mural depicting the Philippines’ history can now be seen at the newly-renovated Lagusnilad Underpass in Manila.

On his Facebook page on Tuesday, Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno posted photos of the mural project, which was spearheaded by the city government and the National Commission for Culture and the Arts.

The NCAA said the project is part of the commission’s initiative to bring arts to public spaces.

In late May, Moreno said the rehabilitation of the Lagusnilad Underpass has resumed.

On Twitter, Moreno shared a video of construction workers renovating the passageway that connected the Manila City Hall to Intramuros.
