MRT3 to deploy 90 buses to cater to passengers during weekend suspension of operations

In order to accommodate MRT-3’s weekend passengers throughout the weekend suspension of operations, 90 bus units are to be deployed under the MRT-3 Bus Augmentation Program.

Metro Rail Transit administration on Friday said it would deploy 90 augmentation buses over the weekend to accommodate passengers that will be affected by the suspension of MRT3 operations.

"In order to accommodate MRT-3’s weekend passengers throughout the weekend suspension of operations, 90 bus units are to be deployed under the MRT-3 Bus Augmentation Program," it said on Twitter.

MRT3 earlier announced it will suspend passenger operations during four selected weekends from July to September to fast-track the replacement of rails.

The schedule will cover July 4 and 5, August 8 and 9, August 21 and 23, and September 12 and 13. —KBK, GMA News
