Three private vans serving as shuttle service units for the employees of a private company were apprehended on Don Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City on Monday amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

In a statement, the Inter-Agency Council (I-ACT) for Traffic said that the three private vehicles were impounded after their drivers failed to present documents that would cover their operations.

These required documents include the minimum three-year notarized contract of lease between lessee and lessor as provided for by the Land Transportation and Franchising Board.

“All vehicles were impounded accordingly to be turned over under the jurisdiction of the LTFRB,” the I-ACT said in a statement shared on its Facebook account.

Under GCQ protocol, only 10 to 50% of mass transport are allowed on the streets. Jeeps are also banned in Metro Manila. -NB, GMA News
