Commuters appeal for earlier bus trips along EDSA on second day of MRT3 suspension
Some commuters want the bus trips along EDSA to start as early as 4 a.m. to avoid getting late for work, according to reports on GMA News’ Unang Balita on Wednesday.
On the second day of suspension of Metro Rail Transit-3 (MRT3), many passengers relied on taking the servives of Bus Augmentation as well as the EDSA Busway program.
However, according to a report of Jonathan Andal, some commuters appealed to start the bus trips at 4 a.m. instead of the regular schedule of 5:30 a.m.
Passenger Aiza Natbonita arrived at Taft Station around 3:30 a.m. to take the bus since her duty starts at 6 a.m. However, Natbonita was disappointed that the bus trips start at 5:30 a.m.
“So, late na talaga,” the commuter said.
A long line of passengers was building up the station around 6 a.m.
At North Avenue Station, many passengers went early to secure a ride through EDSA Busway and Bus Augmentation services.
The MRT3 suspended operations from July 7 to 11 due to the increasing number of its personnel who were tested positive for COVID-19.
