Police looking into involvement of another vehicle in gunning down of Manila prosecutor

Manila Police District director Police Brigadier General Rolando Miranda said Wednesday they are looking into the involvement of another vehicle in a shooting incident which resulted in the death of a prosecutor in Paco, Manila.

Interviewed on Dobol B sa News TV, Miranda said the driver of Jovencio Senados, Manila chief inquest prosecutor, revealed he had noticed a red Innova following them from Skyway, moments before the victim was gunned down.

In one footage of Barangay 686, the red Innova was seen allegedly blocking the way of Senados' sedan allowing the gunmen on board a black SUV to fire at the vehicle of the victim.

Miranda said they also found out the plate number of the SUV used by the perpetrators was registered to another vehicle.

"'Yung Montero na black, 'yung plaka nakuha natin ay nakakabit sa ibang sasakyan, hindi doon sa Montero nakarehistro," he said.

"Bakit nakarehistro sa ibang sasakyan, at kung kaninong tao nakarehistro, titingnan din natin 'yung ownership ng plaka na 'yon," he added.

Miranda said he has tasked his personnel to conduct an inventory of the sensitive cases Senados had handled at the prosecutor's office.

Senados was gunned down along Quirino Highway corner Anakbayan in Barangay 686.

Miranda said Manila Mayor Isko Moreno had also condemned the attack and called for a thorough investigation.—AOL, GMA News
