QC COVID-19 cases at 4,311 on Saturday


The Health Department confirmed that there were 4,311 COVID-19 cases in Quezon City as of 8 a.m.-Saturday, the QC government reported in a July 11, 2020 bulletin.

Of this number, 4,236 cases had complete addresses in the city, while the total number of cases validated by the QC Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit and district health offices were at 4,204.

There were 1,564 active cases in the city.

Meanwhile, the city government reported that there were 26 new recoveries reported, bringing the total number of recoveries to 2,384.

The death toll also climbed to 256 after two new fatalities were recorded.

Quarantine facilities

As of July 11, the HOPE 1 quarantine facility had four available beds out of 41 beds for COVID positive and suspected patients.

Meanwhile, all beds at the HOPE 2 facility were occupied by confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients. Among the cases confined for self-isolation at HOPE 2 were cases who had been tested in QC’s community-based testing effort who were waiting for their results.

At HOPE 3, which was opened to accommodate confirmed and suspected COVID-19 nursing mothers and babies, there were 12 beds available out of 84.

The QC government also reported that the following areas had been placed under a 14-day special concern lockdown due to the high number and clustering of COVID-19 cases:

  • a portion of King Christian St., in Bagbag;
  • Insurance St. Extension in Sangandaan;
  • Loans St., Alley 4, in Sangandaan;
  • 70 Mendez Road in Baesa;
  • Marytown (sapa) in Loyola Heights;
  • FVR Building along Guirayan Street in Dona Imelda;
  • Fatima St. cor. Liwanag in San Vicente;
  • 14G Maayusin Ext. in San Vicente;
  • Maparaan St. to 87 Kalayaan St. in Central;
  • Ruby Stone HOA in Kaligayahan;
