Several areas in Pasig placed under localized ECQ starting Sunday

The Pasig City Government placed several areas under a localized enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) due to a rise in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto announced Saturday.

In a Facebook post, Sotto said that Pipino, Labanos, Okra, and Ubas Streets, Barangay Napico-Manggahan would be under lockdown starting Sunday, July 19, until lifted by the local government.

"Strict implementation will begin Sunday evening. Residents will only be allowed to leave their houses for work and emergency reasons," the LGU said.

Sotto assured that food packs would be distributed among affected residents.

"Mamamahagi po ng food pack ang lokal na pamahalaan para mabawasan ang pangangailangan para bumili sa labas," Sotto said.
