DepEd had announced that teachers will be given orientation and upskilling for online classes in areas with easy internet access.

In mid-July, DepEd announced that it considered limited face-to-face classes in "low-risk" areas where there are no COVID-19 infections.

For remote areas, where online learning is infeasible, the DepEd in June said that it was working on "blended learning", including the use of self-learning printed modules as alternative way of delivering lessons to children outside the classroom and those who have limited or no access to the internet. —with a report from Danny Pata/LBG, GMA News
