Taguig reports 121 new COVID-19 cases; total at 2,833

The number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Taguig City has increased to 2,833 after the City Epidemiology Disease and Surveillance Unit reported 121 new infections, the local government announced Thursday.

It also announced that 72 more patients have recovered from the illness, bringing the total to 2,468, while the death toll remained at 39.

There are a total of 326 active cases being monitored.

Meanwhile, the city has also conducted a total of 30,399 PCR tests through its various testing programs.

As of August 13, the Philippines has reported a total of 147,526 COVID-19 cases with 70,387 recoveries and 2,426 fatalities. — Joahna Lei Casilao/BM, GMA News
