Delivery rider takes online classes on the road

A delivery rider, who, at the same time is a third year communication arts student, continues to attend his online classes in between orders.

According to Ivan Mayrina’s report on “24 Oras,” 21-year-old Ax Valerio went viral on Wednesday after photos of him attending his online class on the side of the road were uploaded on social media by his colleague.

In the photo, Valerio can be seen sitting on his parked motorcycle and writing on his notebook while listening from his mobile phone.

“Gusto ko sana na makita ng ibang estudyante na hindi hadlang ‘yong kahirapan para makamit mo ‘yong tagumpay mo sa buhay,” Christian Nuñez, the uploader, said.

The photo has since garnered more than 70,000 likes and over 60,000 shares on social media.

Meanwhile, Valerio said he is working and studying at the same to earn a living and support his family, while also making his dreams come true.

He said he wants to be a director someday.

“Sobrang hirap po pero iniisip ko po kasi ‘yong family ko, talagang nagpupursige po talaga ako eh,” he said.

‘Wag po tayong susuko kahit sobrang hirap, laban lang. Kasi sa huli makakamit din naman natin ‘yong gusto natin basta nagsisikap lang,” Valerio added.—Ma. Angelica Garcia/LDF, GMA News
