Expired flu vaccine, medicine seized from Bocaue, Bulacan warehouse


Three people were arrested during a raid of a warehouse where boxes of expired flu vaccines, medicines, antibiotics were being stored in Bocaue, Bulacan.

According to a GMA News "24 Oras" report by John Consulta, the National Bureau of Investigation - Intellectual Property Rights Division and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) raided the office of Recytechphil after a transaction with manager Marilou Villena.

Aside from the marked money, expired flu vaccines were recovered, which were sold at P300 to P500 through their distributors.

Expired antibiotics, vials, and medicines for the heart were also recovered.

The suspects are facing charges in violation of the FDA Act and the Consumer Act of the Philippines. -Jamil Santos/MDM, GMA News
