Mayor Lino Cayetano said the city's active cases were among the lowest number of active cases in Metro Manila aside from Malabon and Pateros, which both have 34 active cases.

Cayetano said Taguig City's fatality rate was at 1.10%.

The mayor attributed the latest figures on the bayanihan spirit in the city amid the pandemic. He called on residents to continue observing the minimum health standards set by the national government.

"We can fight COVID-19 with the proper protocols, proper enforcement, and public cooperation. Let us continue to help each other to ensure our city remains safe,” Cayetano said. —Anna Felicia Bajo/KG, GMA News
