Sacks of food items expired for 2 years confiscated in GenSan

Sacks of expired food items were confiscated by authorities in General Santos City on Saturday.

According to Pia Arcangel’s report on “24 Oras Weekend,” the items were seized from two sellers who led police to a bunkhouse under a bridge at Barangay Sinawal where they said they got the products from.

There, authorities found products that had mostly expired in 2018. According to the police, the expired foods were only being wiped clean then sold again in the market.

Meanwhile, authorities have yet to determine the source of the expired goods found at the bunkhouse.
