Divsoria, known as the Christmas shoppers' haven in Metro Manila, showed two contrasting faces on Christmas Day.

In one part of the shopping district in Manila, shoppers jostled for space in an alley on Ilaya Street helmed in by rows of shopping stalls.

Due the sheer number of shoppers, implementing physical distancing protocol against the further spread of COVID-19 was a challenge to authorities.

But the Recto Avenue side of Divisoria, traffic was light with a couple of people on the crosswalk on the vehicle-less street on Friday, 25 December 2020.
