Two dead as bus catches fire in Fairview, QC

Two people died when a bus they were in caught fire in Fairview, Quezon City past noon on Sunday.

The Bureau of Fire Protection confirmed the deaths of the two individuals, according to a report by Jhomer Apresto on Super Radyo dzBB.

The bus was on Pearl Drive corner Commonwealth Avenue when the accident happened.

Based on a video seen circulating on social media, the bus was a green one.

Some passengers were able to break the windows to get out of the burning vehicle.

According to some of the passengers who got out, the bus conductor and a passenger got into an argument.

One of them allegedly threw gasoline inside the bus.

Authorities are still determining the identities of the fatalities and the cause of their death. —KG, GMA News
