Christina Dacera was a promising daughter according to her mother, Sharon.

Sharon recalled that her 23-year-old daughter really loved to be a flight attendant because it was always her dream to travel with her family and loved ones.

"It's really her passion to become a flight attendant, alam mo simple lang naman kaming tao eh. Kasiyahan lang po ng anak ko na ang dream niya, kami magkakasama ng kapatid niya, ng tatay niya, ng pamilya niya na maka-tour kami. Kaya gusto talaga niyang maging flight attendant po," Sharon shared to reporters at a press conference.

She said Christine, second of four siblings, graduated cum laude from University of the Philippines in Davao.

Sharon shared that her daughter was also fond of joining beauty pageants.

"Actually mahilig po 'yan mag-join sa beauty pageants," Sharon said. "Christine is a very good girl, she's a promising girl, nakita ninyo naman gaano kaganda ang anak ko di ba? Mabait ang anak ko."

Sharon had a word for those individuals who are saying negative things about her daughter: "Ganito lang po, whatever they're telling that my daughter is bad, they can make their own stories. Okay... you can make their own stories."

"But, ito lang ang tanong ko, ano bang karapatan niyo na babuyin at patayin ang walang kalaban-laban na babae na nag-iisa. Anong karapatan ninyo?" she added.

Investigation is ongoing on the death of Christine, who was found lifeless in a hotel in Makati City past noon on New Year’s Day. She celebrated in the hotel with some friends.

Of the 12 suspects identified by the police, three were already arrested. — RSJ, GMA News
