24/7 vaccination hubs to be opened in Taguig

Apart from 40 vaccination centers, the local government of Taguig City is set to open three vaccination hubs that will operate 24/7.

The additional vaccination centers will be located in Bonifacio Global City and in Barangay Calzada-Tipas. Mayor Lino Cayetano said the establishment of these facilities would expand the local government's reach once the official rollout of COVID-19 vaccine starts.

According to Cayetano, the 24-hour vaccination centers will be more convenient for residents as their locations are accessible to the public.

"Our target here is not only speed but safety, efficiency and accessibility. Our 24-hour hubs and our community vaccine centers will help us hit our objectives," Cayetano said.

"This will open the opportunity for more citizens to get vaccinated and not have them worry about time," he added.

Taguig City is targeting to establish 200 vaccination teams to inoculate around 630,000 city residents in 60 to 90 days. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
