Two cops abducted in Manila in 6 days

In six days, two members of the Philippine National Police (PNP) have been abducted in Manila,  Unang Balita reported Thursday.

Police Corporal Alan Hilario was abducted by at least 10 gunmen while on his post in Manila on Saturday while Police Patrolman Real Tesoro was taken on Wednesday, according to a report of GMA News’ Jonathan Andal.

A CCTV footage showed Tesoro and his live-in partner aboard a motorcycle along V. Mapa Extension in Sta. Mesa and on their way home from the market.

Meters away from their house, an AUV suddenly blocked their way. At least four men and a woman alighted from the vehicle while an SUV was parked on the side of the road.

One of the suspects took the woman's pouch containing her cellphone and P36,000 cash.

In another CCTV footage, the two vehicles were spotted taking a turn to P. Sanchez street going to Mandaluyong City.

Interviewed on Super Radyo dzBB on Thursday, Manila Police District chief  Police Brigadier General Leo Francisco said they are studying if the incidents are related considering the same manner of abduction.

According to him, Tesoro’s recent designation was at a police center in Bicutan under the National Capital Region Police Office.

He said Tesoro was suspended from his duty and that they are still checking for what violation.

Tesoro was previously designated at the MPD and then at the Quezon City Police District, Francisco said.
