20 residents caught violating curfew in Pateros

At least 20 residents in Pateros were caught still out in the streets on Saturday night beyond the curfew, according to a report on News TV Live on Sunday.

The expanded curfew hours of 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. took effect on Saturday in the municipality.

Among those caught was a tricycle driver who not only violated the curfew but also had an expired driver's license. He also did not follow the dress code for those driving public transportation.

The penalty for violating the city's curfew is P2,000 and a 12-hour confinement in the city's covered court.

On March 15, curfew hours will be uniform throughout Metro Manila, starting at 10 p.m. and ending at 5 a.m.

The curfew was expanded amid the spike in the number of COVID-19 cases in Metro Manila. —KG, GMA News
