Establishments ordered closed

In Muntinlupa and Las Piñas cities, some establishments, including convenience stores, were ordered closed during curfew hours, according to Mai Bermudez's report.

According to the police, only fast food joints with take-out and delivery services are allowed to operate during curfew hours.

"Ang convenience store naman hindi considered na fast food 'yan," said Police Brigadier General Eliseo Cruz, district director of the Southern Police District, although he added that whether convenience stores are exempted from the curfew is a matter that needs to be clarified by the City Council.

Some roadside eateries were also ordered closed. An unspecified number of curfew violators were likewise apprehended. —KBK, GMA News
