Infant rescued from garbage dump in Quezon City dies

The infant that was found abandoned in a heap of garbage in Batasan Hills, Quezon City has died in the hospital, according to a report on State of the Nation on Monday.

A traffic enforcer said a garbage collector found the infant alive at the Freedom Park 3.

One of the residents, a medical staff, said there are indications that the infant has been in the garbage dump for some time.

Barangay officials, meanwhile, are looking for the individual who abandoned the infant. -- BAP, GMA News
