Ateneo Jesuit Residence reports 9 COVID-19 cases

Nine people at the Jesuit Residence community at the Ateneo de Manila University campus in Loyola Heights, Quezon City were found positive for COVID-19.

In a statement on Wednesday, the university said the infected individuals are isolated while contact tracing is underway at the residence, which is under lockdown for 10 to 15 days.

"Nine members of the Jesuit Residence community tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 virus. Strict protocols, which include isolation and quarantine, are currently in place and being implemented at the residence. Contact tracing is also being done," the university said.

The university previously tested 32 members of the Jesuit Residence for novel coronavirus after a priest, who contracted COVID-19, had died.
