Fire hits residential area in Quezon City

A fire hit a residential area in Barangay Doña Aurora, Quezon City early Tuesday morning, affecting two houses.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) raised the second alarm for the fire on Serrano Laktaw Street, according to a report by Rod Vega on Super Radyo dzBB.

The BFP said the fire started past 4 a.m., according to a report by Darlene Cay on GMA News' Unang Balita.

Neighbors quickly reported the incident, thus the BFP was able to respond right away. The fire was put out in 30 minutes.

The BFP said the second floor of one old house was made of wood thus the fire quickly spread.

No one was hurt in the fire.

Neighbors said no one was occupying the house where the fire started since it was sold.

Investigation is still ongoing as to the cause of the fire. —BAP/KG, GMA News
