Suspect in ex-cop’s murder killed in Manila op —police

A suspect in the death of a former police personnel was killed during an operation in Tondo, Manila on Tuesday, according to the Manila Police District.

MPD identified the suspect as Rommel Tiatco who was allegedly behind the killing

Around 8:45 a.m., elements from MPD served an arrest warrant to Tiatco that resulted in an armed encounter between the suspect and the police operatives.

Tiatco sustained wounds and was rushed to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center Hospital but was declared dead on arrival at 9:35 a.m.

According to the MPD, Tiatco was also the alleged leader of Tiatco Organized Crime Group.—Joviland Rita/AOL, GMA News
