San Juan lifts liquor ban but drinking in public still prohibited

The liquor ban in San Juan City will be lifted on May 1, Mayor Francis Zamora said Friday.

Despite this, Zamora clarified that residents are still prohibited from consuming alcohol in public places such as streets, parks, and government facilities

The National Capital Region, including San Juan, is under a modified enhanced community quarantine until May 14.

Meanwhile, the 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. curfew in the city will also begin on May 1.

The Philippines has reported 1,037,460 confirmed COVID-19 cases, of which 946,318 have recovered and 17,234 have died. -MDM, GMA News
