Manila logs 292 new COVID-19 cases


The City of Manila on Tuesday registered 292 new COVID-19 infections, raising the city's total tally to 58,909.

According to the Manila Public Information Office, the new cases brought the active cases in the city to 2,408.

Total recoveries also rose by 365 to 55,387, while the death toll increased to 1,114 with two new fatalities.

Sampaloc recorded the most number of active infections at 547, followed by Tondo 1 with 348.

Nationwide, cases of COVID-19 reached 1,067,892 including 66,060 active cases, 984,210 recoveries, and 17,622 fatalities. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
