15-year-old shot dead after allegedly refusing to run errand for neighbor

A 15-year-old boy in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City was allegedly shot dead by a neighbor after the boy refused to run an errand for the neighbor.

The victim was identified as Richard Misa, a Grade 7 student, according to a 24 Oras report by Emil Sumangil on Friday.

Richard's parents said that their boy usually accepted and ran errands for their neighbors in exchange for token payments - sometimes just amounting to a few coins.

"Kahit anong bagay po, inuutusan, sumusunod po 'yan," said the victim's father Raul Misa.

But on Wednesday, a neighbor asked Richard to purchase some items for him but the youth turned down the request.

"Nabalitaan ko 'yung huling tinanggihan niya 'yung softdrinks po, sabi niya 'Kuya pagod na po ako, pahinga na po ako," said Raul.

The suspect was allegedly irked by the victim's response.

"Naglabas yata ng baril pinaglaruan po sa harap ng anak ko. Merong witness na nagsabi sa akin na dalawang kalabit, hindi pumutok. 'Yung pangatlong kalabit, 'yun na po 'yun," Raul said.

While the medico-legal report has to be released, the initial investigation report said that Misa was shot in the left eye.

A witness pointed to an "Alias Negro" as the alleged shooter. The suspect is already subject to a manhunt operation by the Pasig City Police. — Jamil Santos/DVM, GMA News
