By HANA BORDEY,GMA News

Marikina Mayor Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro on Thursday said local chief executives in the National Capital Region will reach a consensus on their quarantine classification recommendation this morning.

In an interview on Dobol B TV, Teodoro said the NCR mayors have started voting on the quarantine classification that they will recommend to the Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases.

(We are still reaching a consensus. This morning, we expect to come up with a decision so that we can submit it before the IATF meeting.)

(We will abide by the wisdom of the IATF and the decision of the President. The LGUs will follow and prepare to implement the guidelines provided by the IATF.)

Metro Manila and the adjacent provinces of Rizal, Laguna, Bulacan, and Cavite are placed under MECQ until May 14.

The IATF is set to discuss within the day the quarantine classification that the government will impose on May 15 onwards.  —KBK, GMA News
