More than 30 individuals, including YouTube vlogger Toni Fowler, were issued citations by Quezon City's Task Force Disiplina for violating social distancing measures.

According to Glen Juego’s report on Super Radyo dzBB, Quezon City TF Disiplina chief Rany Ludovica said a total of 37 individuals attended an activity arranged by Fowler in Barangay E. Rodriguez.

Fowler apologized and said she did not expect the crowd at the “meet and greet” activity he arranged.

According to Dano Tingcungco’s report on “24 Oras,” the meet and greet were for an online shop in Cubao, Quezon City.

Fowler also admitted that she did not coordinate with barangay authorities on said gathering.

(We made a reservation for a maximum of only 50 people. We did not expect that a crowd will form outside.)

(The shortcomings that we want to admit is that we did not coordinate with the barangay and the Task Force Disiplina.)

Though chaos occurred outside the venue, Marie Fowler explained that health protocols were followed inside the venue.

(It just so happened that we were unable to control them outside. But everyone that was able to make a reservation was orderly.)

Meanwhile, the Task Force Disiplina reminded the public that gatherings are limited to 10 individuals.

(Social gatherings are really prohibited right now due to the COVID-19 situation in Quezon City; we are still strict.)

A P500 penalty was given, which was paid by the Fowler siblings.

Marie also said they will take responsibility if an individual who attended the gathering will test positive for the illness.

Mass gatherings are still prohibited in the National Capital Region Plus, which is under a general community quarantine with heightened restrictions. — DVM, GMA News
