The Quezon City government has declared August 19, 2021 a special non-working public holiday in the city in celebration of the 143rd birth anniversary of President Manuel Quezon.
According to the city government, there will be no work in all public and private offices in the city on the said date.
Meanwhile, it said the COVID-19 vaccination rollout in the city will continue, as well as the distribution of the cash assistance from the national government.
Quezon City's total validated COVID-19 cases were at 117,476 as of Tuesday.
Of this number, 7,569 are active; 108,636 recovered; and 1,271 passed away. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/BM, GMA News
