Manila logs 252 new COVID-19 cases, 497 newly recovered


The City of Manila on Sunday reported 252 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the  city's total to 77,577, including 1,323 active cases; 74,777 recovered; and 1,477 deaths.

In a post on Twitter on September 5, the Manila Public Information Office (PIO) reported 252 new infections, pushing the number of active cases to 1,323.

Sampaloc district leads the areas with high recorded active cases for the day at 282, followed by Sta. Cruz with 167, and Tondo 1 with 166.

Also, the city recorded 497 newly recovered bringing the total to 74,777.

On the other hand, it logged 15 new deaths for the day raising the total COVID-19 fatalities to 1,477. —LBG, GMA News
