PRC cancels physicians licensure exams in NCR

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Thursday announced the cancelation of the Physicians Licensure Examination (PLE) scheduled this September in the National Capital Region.

In a Facebook post, the PRC said the PLE scheduled on 11, 12, 18, and 19 in NCR has been canceled.

“Affected examinees in NCR may take the next succeeding examination without forfeiture of their examination fees,” the PRC said.

However, the exams scheduled on September 11, 12, 18, and 19 in Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu,  Davao, Iloilo, Legaspi, Lucena, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga will proceed as scheduled.

“The PRC requests the public's utmost understanding and cooperation as it complies with the guidelines set forth by Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases,” it said.

NCR will remain under a modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) until September 15, 2021.

Meanwhile, the Philippines has so far logged a total of 2,134,005 confirmed COVID-19 cases. —LBG, GMA News
