San Juan Mayor Zamora to seek reelection in Eleksyon 2022
San Juan City Mayor Francis Zamora on Thursday said he will seek reelection in the 2022 elections.
"Ako po ay tatakbo for reelection at sana po mabigyan muli ng pagkakataon na maging mayor [I will run for reelection and I hope I will be given a chance to be mayor again," he said in a press briefing following a mall inspection in the city.
Zamora said he would like to continue leading the city until COVID-19 is totally vanquished.

"Alam ko na itong 2022 and beyond ang COVID-19 ay nandiyan pa rin, hindi 'yan agad-agad na mawawala [I know that COVID-19 will still be here in 2022 and beyond]," he said.
During the press conference, Zamora reiterated that it was San Juan which first achieved herd immunity in the country through its vaccination program.
"Ito ay bagay na ikinatutuwa ng mga mamamayan natin dito sa lungsod [This is one thing that San Juan residents are happy of]," he said. --KBK, GMA News
