DILG clarifies establishments not included in granular lockdown

The Department of the Interior and Local Government on Thursday said business establishments will not be affected by the granular lockdown.

According to a report on "24 Oras," Interior Undersecretary Jonathan Malaya said in case individuals test positive in an establishment, it will be subjected to a temporary shutdown.

"'Yong mga negosyo, nagkakaroon ng COVID 'yong mga tao, hindi sila pasok dito sa lockdown na isasara din 'yong negosyo for 14 days," he said.

"So 'yong mga lugar na 'yon, will only be subjected to temporary shutdown. Puwedeng isang araw temporary shutdown tapos disinfection tapos balik trabaho ulit," Malaya added.

Last week, the government released its guidelines on the new alert level system as policies for lockdown, which will have a pilot run in Metro Manila starting September 16.
