Comelec increases number of voter applicants in QC district as deadline draws near

The Commission on Elections has increased the number of applicants per day in the satellite voter registration in Quezon City District 4.

According to a report on G TV's Balitanghali on Monday, this comes as the deadline for voter registration nears.

The Comelec had set September 30, 2021 as the deadline for voter registration.

From 300 walk-in applicants, the Comelec QC District 4 is now accepting 400 applicants.

For online appointments, it is now accepting up to 150 applicants.

The Senate and House of Representatives have approved on second reading, respectively, their versions of the bill seeking to extend the voter registration period. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/RSJ, GMA News
