Pasay Mayor Rubiano files for reelection in Eleksyon 2022
By CONSUELO MARQUEZ,GMA News Pasay Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano officially declared she would seek reelection in 2022 after she filed her certificate of candidacy for the post.
Rubiano filed her COC at the local Comelec office at the SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City on Monday. She would pursue her candidacy under the ruling PDP-Laban party.
Rubiano assured her constituents that she would stay focused on their city's pandemic response even after filing her COC.
“Kailangan lamang natin itong gawin bilang bahagi ng proseso ng ating demokrasya. Pero hindi tayo tumitigil sa pagtatrabaho," said Rubiano, in a statement on Facebook.
(We need to do this as part of the democratic process. But we will not stop doing our jobs.)

"Di namin ito sasayangin. Di namin kayo bibiguin. Di namin kayo binibigo mula pa noong una hanggang sa mga susunod pang mga taon," she further said.
(We will not waste your votes. We will not let you down. We did not let you down before and we will continue to do so in the next few years.)
Aside from Rubiano, Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto is also seeking reelection in 2022 as he filed his COC last week.
In Malabon, incumbent Malabon Mayor Lenlen Oreta said he would return to being a private citizen while his brother Councilor Jose Lorenzo Oreta officially filed his COC seeking to succeed him as mayor of the city. — DVM, GMA News
