Nearly 37,000 violators recorded in NCR amid Alert Level 3 — PNP


A total of 36,758 quarantine violators have been recorded in the National Capital Region (NCR) since the implementation of Alert Level 3 on October 16, data from the Philippine National Police (PNP) showed Wednesday.

In an update, the PNP said there were 8,818 newly reported violators on Monday.

Around 57% of the violators were warned, 35% were fined, while 8% faced other sanctions. 

A total of 26,664 violators or 6,666 daily have violated the minimum public health standards in NCR amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

For curfew, a total of 9,854 violators or 2,464 daily were recorded in Metro Manila.

A total of 240 who are not considered authorized persons outside residence (APORs) were also caught outdoors.

Under Alert Level 3, several establishments will be allowed to operate at 30% indoor venue capacity only for fully vaccinated individuals and 50% outdoor venue capacity, provided that all employees are fully vaccinated.

Curfew in Metro Manila has been shortened to 12 midnight to 4 a.m. starting October 13.

Alert Level 3 came into effect in Metro Manila on October 16 and will run until October 31, unless earlier lifted or extended by the government.  — VBL, GMA News
