'Hayden cam' case: Ex-cop pours water on Kho as Katrina arrives at hearing

MANILA, Philippines - Senator Ma. Ana Consuelo 'Jamby' Madrigal ordered the arrest of former police officer and Pagsanjan, Laguna mayor Abner Afuang after he poured water on embattled doctor Hayden Kho's head shortly after actress Katrina Halili entered the Senate room. Afuang, who wore a media badge, entered the committee room, approached Kho with a bottle of mineral water and showered the celebrity doctor. "Arrest that man! Arrest that man!" Madrigal said in the commotion. Kho's lawyer Lorna Capunan immediately requested the Senate to reconsider having a closed-door session following the incident. Halili, wearing a green shirt, was visibly shaken by the incident. Afuang was immediately escorted out of the room and arrested by the Senate sergeant-at-arms. Earlier, Cllifford Elorde, distributed anti-Hayden Kho shirts in the Senate press room. Elorde was reportedly supposed to throw rotten tomatoes at Kho but decided to express his hatred instead in shirts bearing the words: "Beware of Hayden camera'" and "I'm never gonna dance again", an allusion to an earlier video of Halili and Kho gyrating to the song "Careless Whisper." - Joseph Holandes Ubalde, GMANews.TV
