As strong rains flooded Metro Manila and nearby provinces on Tuesday, RH bill detractors on Twitter took the disaster as a sign of God's wrath. House legislators voted Monday to end debates on the Reproductive Health bill and proceed to the period of amendments, viewed as a victory for pro-RH forces.
Tuesday's weather disturbance did not have great wind speed, but it did merit a red warning signal from PAGASA.
But for scientists, there’s a rational explanation to the weather.
"One thing is for sure, (the strong rain) is brought by the heating of the ocean to the west, forming clouds, and dahil sa inconsistent heat, may convection, and napupush yung clouds to north east," explained BA Racoma of ClimateX.ph and Project NOAH. –KG/HS, GMA News
