Comelec releases image of May 13 polls' official ballot

The upper part of the ballot showed the date of the elections, ballot identification number and the clustered precinct where it is intended to be used. The instruction on how to correctly shade the oval beside the candidate to be chosen by the voter and a reminder not to overvote were also on the upper part of the ballot. Listed on the ballot were the 33 senatorial candidates and 123 partylist organizations. The number on the last partylist organization on the ballot, however, was 136. The number was reduced after the Comelec disqualified some partylist groups. For the May elections, voters will be choosing 12 senators, a partylist organization, and a member of the House of Representatives. Also listed are the candidates for mayor, vice mayor, and members of the Sangguniang Panglungsod or Bayan. In the provinces, voters will be also be choosing their governor, vice governor and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan. For the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, voters will be choosing their regional governor, vice governor and regional assemblyman. Comelec has established 77,829 clustered precincts all over the country. Some 52,014,648 voters are registered to participate in the May 13 polls. — DVM, GMA News
