Escudero grabs 3rd spot in latest partial tally; Poe breaches 10M votes

Hours after the Commission on Elections proclaimed six winning senatorial candidates, the eighth partial tally of consolidated and official votes still showed the same top six senate candidates, though with Chiz Escudero taking third place away from Alan Peter Cayetano with 54,000 more votes. Grace Poe is still leading with over 10 million votes, having breached 7 million votes in the previous tally. She is followed by Loren Legarda, Escudero, and Cayetano. Nancy Binay, who was a no-show in the proclamation, placed at fifth. The latest tally cover 87 COCs and over 19 million votes. There are over 52 million registered voters for the 2013 elections. The Comelec sitting as the National Board of Canvassers is canvassing the COCs. The latest official vote count is as follows:
