Damage from Yolanda now at P10.3 billion – NDRRMC

The total cost of damage from super typhoon Yolanda for affected areas in the whole country has risen to P10.3 billion, with the agriculture sector taking the worst blow with devastation that amounts to more than P9 billion.
According to the latest report from the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), damage to agriculture stands at P9.089 billion, while damage to infrastructure amounts to P1.250 billion.
The number of casualties from the typhoon, meanwhile, has risen to 3,637 as of 6 p.m. Saturday. A total of 12,501 persons are injured while 1,186 are still missing. — KDM, GMA News
