Full text of Senator Revilla's privilege speech ‘Salamat, Kaibigan’

In a privilege speech at the Senate on Monday, June 9, Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. challenged President Benigno Aquino III to make fixing the country's problems his legacy. 

He also pulled out a list of friends, colleagues, and people he wanted to thank.

Although it seemed like he was saying goodbye, the senator, who faces plunder and graft charges at the Sandiganbayan over his alleged involvement in the pork barrel scam, later made clear that he is not resigning from the Senate.
