Still more flooding expected as red rainfall warning remains up in NCR, 7 provinces

Even more rain — along with the threat of severe flooding — is expected over Metro Manila and seven other areas in Luzon Friday afternoon, state weather agency PAGASA said.

In its latest rainfall advisory, state weather agency PAGASA maintained a red rainfall warning, which carries the threat of severe flooding, over the capital region and nearby provinces Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal.

PAGASA also raised the red rainfall warning over Bataan and Zambales.

Tropical Storm Mario (Fung-Wong) had been dumping rain over parts of Luzon on Friday, with the downpour intensified by the southwest monsoon. It made landfall over the northern tip of Cagayan on Friday morning.

PAGASA also issued an orange warning over Quezon and Pampanga, warning of possible flooding.
