Atty. Samson Alcantara, 2013 senatorial candidate, dies

Atty. Samson Alcantara, a law professor at the University of Santo Tomas and candidate for senator in the 2013 elections, died Friday afternoon.

 

Christine Sempio, Alcantara's chief of staff, confirmed he died of a stroke.

Details of Alcantara's funeral have been posted on his official Facebook account. 

 

The remains of the former candidate and president of the Social Justice Society Party will be at the Loyola Memorial Chapel along Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City starting Saturday, December 27.

 

Interment has been set and it will be in the afternoon of December 30, Tuesday, at the Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City.

 

Alcantara also taught law at the Manuel L. Quezon University, University of the East, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila and New Era University.

 

He was also founding chairman and president of the ABAKADA GURO partylist.
