Nancy Binay sad for Junjun’s already motherless kids

Teary-eyed Senator Nancy Binay expressed concern Monday on what would happen to the four children of her brother Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay Jr once he is detained at the Senate after being cited in contempt for continued refusal to attend hearings.

Alam nyo naman kasi na wala nang mommy yung mga pamangkin ko tapos ngayon mawawala pa yung father nila,” she told reporters when asked on their plans after the Senate ordered the detention of her brother.

Mayor Binay’ s wife, Kennely Ann, died in 2009, hours after prematurely giving birth. Their youngest is five years old while the eldest is 12.

Asked if she would let his brother sleep at her office at the Senate since the detention cell at the Senate sergeant-at-arms only has one bed, Binay said she does not think her brother would approve that.

“Tignan natin kasi knowing my brother, I doubt kung gusto nya na mabigyan siya ng special treatment. Kung  doon siya dapat i-detain e doon siya magpapa-detain,” she said.

She said they will have to discuss if they would allow the children visit their father at the detention cell.

“Mas gusto kong pagtuunan kung paano ayusin yung schedule ng mga bata kasi  gusto ba namin na makita siya ng mga anak niya na nasa ganung sitwasyon pero, on the other hand, pangit  din naman na hindi nila makita yung father nila,” she said.

The Blue Ribbon Committee cited for contempt Binay and five other personalities who continuously defied the order of the Blue Ribbon subcommittee to attend the probe on alleged overpriced Makati City Hall Building II.

In a press conference, Binay said he was ready to be detained. —NB/JDS, GMA News
