President Benigno Aquino III on Friday blasted his critics for their supposed sense of entitlement.

In a speech to mark the second year of the K to 12 education reform program, Aquino said his oppositors seem to think that they know everything.

Kaya bahala na ang Diyos sa kanila,” Aquino told an audience of teachers and education officials in Pasay City.

The President also belittled members of progressive group Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT) who staged a rally against the K to 12 program in front of the venue where Aquino delivered his speech.

He further said that his critics will likely grab credit for the K to 12 once the education reform program succeeds.

The K to 12 program, the Aquino administration’s flagship education reform effort, is facing legal challenges before the Supreme Court. Critics of the program argued that the government is not yet ready to implement the K to 12 due to existing problems in the Philippine education sector. — Andreo Calonzo/RSJ, GMA News
