Comelec tries again to bid out P558-M election results transmission project for 2016 polls

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) is making a second attempt at bidding out its P558-million  election results transmission project for the May 2016 elections. Deadline for the bids submission is on July 24.

Comelec's Bids and Awards Committee (BAC) will receive the bids at 9:00 a.m and open the submissions an hour later.

“A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by interested Bidders who wish to participate in the bidding process until July 24 during weekdays only from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. upon payment of a non-refundable fee for the Bidding Documents in the amount of P75,000,” said the BAC in its Invitation to Bid.

The first bidding failed because no bids came.

“Only those interested bidders, who have purchased the bidding documents, are allowed to raise and submit queries or clarifications regarding the bidding documents,” the bids committee said.  The pre-bid conference will be on July 9.

Electronic sending of election results to target destinations at the various canvassing points and other receiving sites and related aspects comprise the project.  — ELR, GMA News
