(Updated 10:51 a.m., July 9) Here is a list of class suspensions amid the expected heavy rain, which state weather forecasters said may last until the weekend.

Metro Manila: all levels, public and private schools

• Quezon City: classes in all levels in public and private schools suspended Thursday (July 8) and Friday (July 9)
• PNTC Maritime Training Center in Intramuros, Manila: No training class

Cavite: all levels
Laguna: all levels
Rizal: all levels
Bataan: all levels
Pangasinan: preschool to high school
Batangas: all levels in Lipa, Tanauan, Batangas City, Lian, Rosario, Lemery, Taal, San Luis, Calatagan, Agoncillo, San Jose, Santo Tomas, Mataas Na Kahoy, Balayan, San Pascual, Bauan, Calaca, Nasugbu, Mabini, Malvar, Cuenca, Lobo, Laurel, Tuy, Padre Garcia, San Nicolas, Tingloy, and Sta. Teresita
Batangas: preschool to high school in Ibaan and Alitagtag
Bulacan: all levels in Bocaue, Bulakan, Santa Maria, Calumpit, Hagonoy, Paombong, Marilao, Malolos, Meycauayan, and San Jose del Monte
Bulacan: all levels in Obando for Thursday (July 9) and Friday (July 10
Bulacan: all levels in afternoon classes in Angat and Baliwag
